Quick Southern Cabbage Dish

Makes 4 servings

  • 5 tablespoons unrefined coconut oil

  • 1/2 head green cabbage, shredded

  • 1/2 red onion, sliced

  • 2 apples, diced

  • 8 slices Applegate uncured black ham

  • 1/4 cup raisins (omit for candida-friendly version)

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin seeds

  • 1/2 cup pinto or black beans

  • 1 teaspoon Tony Chachere's Creole seasoning

Instructions

  1. Heat coconut oil in a large skillet on medium heat.

  2. Layer the remaining ingredients in the skillet and cover.

  3. Cook for 8-10 minutes or until heated through.

  4. Serve immediately!
