Baked Brown Rice or Quinoa

Makes 4 servings

  • 3 cups bone broth

  • 1 cup brown rice, or 1½ cups quinoa

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

  • 1 teaspoon onion powder or flakes

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder, or fresh minced garlic

  • 1 teaspoon basil

  • 1 teaspoon oregano

  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  2. Combine all ingredients in an oven safe ceramic or glass baking dish

  3. Bake for 1 ½ hours for brown rice and 50 minutes for quinoa, or until all liquid is absorbed.

  4. Fluff with a fork.

Note: If you have an InstantPot or pressure cooker, you can use this same recipe, but adjust the liquid according to your device’s instruction manual.
